Halifax Resolves

The Halifax Resolves were the first official act by any of the thirteen colonies calling for independence from great Brittian. On April 12, 1776 in North Carolina authorized delegates went to the Contential Congress to vote for independence. The 83 delagates present in Halifax at the Fourth Provincial Congress unamiously adopted the Halifax resolves, witch states that the commitee was taking to much cobsiderastion towards the usurpations and violence attempted and commited by the king and Parliment of Brittian against America and any other attemps would be provenced and reported at once. The comitee usurped a power over the people and properties of the people unimited. The act is much longer but i don't have enough time to type it all.
Anyway the resolve is very importaint because they were the first official action calling for independence, but because they were not unilateral recommenditions.
